Fishing

Many species of fish thrive in the waters of Southeast Alaska. Your target species will depend upon the weather, time of year, and personal preference. Halibut, and some species of salmon, are available most of the time. (See the charts below.) Please pay attention to the onboard instructions you will receive. This will be particularly important with regard to the methods used when fishing with the downriggers and clips attached mid-cable. When you have a fish on, notify the skipper; a crewmember will assist you with bringing the fish on board.
